According to Rep. Greene, it’s not just that the Republicans who worked for Trump but are now testifying against him in the highly publicized January 6th hearings are RINOs or turncoats that are doing so out of a desire to hurt the president.
No, according to Greene, who blasted those turncoat Republicans in a recent appearance on Fox News Channel’s “The Ingraham Angle,” they’re also lying about what happened.
Speaking on that to host Laura Ingraham, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, one of former President Trump’s staunchest defenders and supporters in the legislature, said:
“Well, here’s what I make of it. I think they’re lying. They’re making up an entire story and none of it is true. They’re lying about President Trump, all of his steps staff, they’re lying about Republican members of Congress like Barry Loudermilk because they’ve recently attacked him and he’s now receiving death threats.”
She then went on to point out what she saw to be suspicious parts of the story about what occurred on that day, saying:
“You know who they don’t interview and they aren’t having transcripts and they’re not showing their interviews? They’re not showing Ray Epps. Where is Ray Epps and why didn’t I see him in the D.C. jail when he’s one of the people that was clearly part of the effort to send people into the Capitol?
“And another thing I want to know is, why don’t we find out about why the National Guard wasn’t brought in to guard the Capitol? That was my third day on the job, Laura. I couldn’t even find the bathrooms in the Capitol Building because I didn’t know my way around, and I was shocked when that happened.
“I don’t know why Nancy Pelosi didn’t bring in the National Guard when so many people had requested it. But as for Adam Schiff, he’s always creating a story that’s not real. We’ve already been through it with the Russian hoax.”
MTG also took the opportunity to sound off on the deplorable conditions the “Deplorables” are being held in right now, saying:
“Well, Laura, unfortunately I can’t tell you much because the mayor, Muriel Bowser, is refusing to allow me and other Republicans to go in and tour the jail. I’ve sent her a letter, I’ve called her, I’ve been to her office, and we are still getting no response whatsoever. And there are many Republicans that now want to go in and see the conditions of the D.C. jail.
“So, unfortunately, nothing has changed. These people are still being held in the same horrible, disgusting conditions. They are being held under deputy warden Kathleen Landerkin, who on her own Twitter account clearly hates Republicans, hates President Trump, even hates white men. This is a serious condition. These people, when I saw them, and this was months ago, they weren’t shaven, they weren’t allowed to shave or get haircuts. They weren’t allowed to receive medical treatment. They weren’t receiving proper nutrition and they weren’t allowed to see their attorneys. They had to choose between going outside or calling their family. This is a real human rights abuse, Laura. It’s a process that is being completely violated, their due process rights are violated, and it should not be happening in our country.”
